The MPA ENGAGE project is related to the adaptation and mitigation of Climate Change on Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in the Mediterranean Sea.
The indicative actions of the project include:
- Assessing the vulnerability of biodiversity in MPAs in relation to climate change,
- Evaluating socio-economic impacts,
- Developing and implementing scientific monitoring protocols to track the effects of climate change,
- Raising public awareness through specific communication activities,
- Strengthening Citizen Science initiatives,
- Developing a climate change adaptation plan
