Climate Adapt

The European Climate Adaptation Platform (Climate-ADAPT) is a partnership between the European Commission and the European Environment Agency (EEA). Climate-ADAPT is maintained by the EEA with the support of the European Topic Centre on Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation (ETC/CCA).

Climate-ADAPT aims to support Europe in adapting to climate change by assisting users to access and share data and information related to:

  • Projected climate change in Europe
  • Current and future vulnerability of regions and sectors
  • EU, national, and transnational adaptation strategies and actions
  • Adaptation case studies and potential adaptation options
  • Tools supporting adaptation planning
CLIMPACT

The “National Network for Climate Change and its Impacts – CLIMPACT” is an interdisciplinary consortium comprising 28 members from the academic and research communities in Greece and Cyprus, involved in the field of climate change (CC) and its associated climate risks, natural disasters, as well as social and economic impacts.

CLIMATE INNOVATION WINDOW

The European climate resilience platform, Climate Innovation Window, serves as a reference portal for innovations related to climate change adaptation, providing stakeholders with access to over 100 directly implementable climate adaptation solutions.

EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change

The EU Mission Adaptation on Climate Change is a European Union initiative aimed at strengthening the adaptation of European regions and communities to the impacts of climate change. The portal provides information, resources, and tools to support local authorities and citizens in developing and implementing adaptation strategies. Additionally, it promotes collaboration and the exchange of best practices among stakeholders, thereby contributing to increased resilience against climate risks.

IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change)

The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) is an international body established by the United Nations with the aim of providing scientific assessments on climate change, its impacts, and possible strategies for adaptation and mitigation. The IPCC gathers and analyzes data from scientists around the world, publishing reports that serve as key reference points for policymaking in response to the climate crisis.

European Parliament on Climate Change

The European Parliament’s website on climate change provides information on the legislative initiatives and policies promoted by the Parliament to address the climate crisis. Users can find details on discussions and decisions related to reducing carbon dioxide emissions, improving energy efficiency, promoting sustainable development, and adapting to the impacts of climate change. The website also highlights the European Parliament’s actions in collaboration with other European and international bodies to achieve the EU’s environmental goals.

Goal 13 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Goal 13 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) focuses on taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. It aims to integrate climate action into national policies and strategies, promoting immediate and effective measures. On the Goal 13 website, users can find information on global initiatives related to climate action, statistical data tracking progress toward the goal, as well as international partnerships and agreements established to reduce the impacts of climate change and strengthen community resilience.

National Information System for Biodiversity in Greece

The National Information System for Biodiversity in Greece, developed through the LIFE EL-BIOS project, is designed to support the monitoring, conservation, and management of biodiversity, while also strengthening the country’s response to European and international commitments.

Managed by the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA), the system will serve as Greece’s central biodiversity platform, providing valuable resources to both the scientific community and society.

Climate Change Hub (CCHUB)

The Climate Change Hub is a scalable multi-year initiative of three international institutions: Resilience Cities Catalyst (RCC), the Democracy & Culture Foundation (DCF), and Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), to advance progress toward climate transformation and recovery goals in Greece and the broader region of southeast Europe through cross-sectoral collaborative action that elevates community voice. It operates as an independent non-for-profit entity in the context of the program Resilience and Recovery in Greece and S.E Europe.
