EU Tools & Platforms

Climate Adapt

The European Climate Adaptation Platform (Climate-ADAPT) is a partnership between the European Commission and the European Environment Agency (EEA). Climate-ADAPT is maintained by the EEA with the support of the European Topic Centre on Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation (ETC/CCA).

Climate-ADAPT aims to support Europe in adapting to climate change by assisting users to access and share data and information related to:

  • Projected climate change in Europe
  • Current and future vulnerability of regions and sectors
  • EU, national, and transnational adaptation strategies and actions
  • Adaptation case studies and potential adaptation options
  • Tools supporting adaptation planning
EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change

The EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change aims to strengthen the resilience of European regions and communities to climate change impacts. The Mission Portal provides information, resources, and tools to support local and regional authorities, stakeholders, and citizens in developing and implementing adaptation strategies. It also promotes cooperation and the exchange of good practices.

Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S)

The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) provides authoritative information on past, present, and future climate conditions in Europe and worldwide, supporting climate-related decision-making, mitigation, and adaptation.

Joint Research Centre: EU Science Hub

JRC PESETA is a long-term research project of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) assessing the scale and distribution of climate risks in Europe. Since 2006 (currently PESETA V), it has delivered quantitative, scientifically robust assessments of climate change impacts across multiple sectors, supporting key EU policies such as the European Green Deal and the EU Strategy on Adaptation to Climate Change. The results highlight both the costs of inaction and the benefits of adaptation, based on large-scale, high-resolution modelling.

EU Institutions & Policies
